Chocolate Bundles

Ingredients:

2 sheets of puff pastry, thawed.
1 pound semi-sweet chocolate chips
8 ounces whole toasted hazelnuts or toasted sliver almonds
2 eggs, beaten slightly
Sugar

 

Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 400*farenheit. Line a cookie sheet with foil and butter the surface. Gently unfold the puff pastry and allow it to lay flat on a work surface. Divide it into 8 equal sections.

Eggwash edges of pastry with brush. Put a small amount of chocolate and one hazelnut/almond in each square. Bring together corner-to-corner, twisting up top like a Hershey Kiss. Arrange bundles on a cookie sheet, allowing space for each one to expand - do not let bundles edges touch.

To complete, egg-wash the individual bundle all over and then sprinkle with sugar. Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
